Eve of the 'Big Day'

October 13th, 2011

Hola. Hello. Ni hao. It's 10:20 p.m. and I'm exhausted. I feel that every year I get older, I lose even more of my ability to stay up late. Half of the time I'm ready to pass out around nine. 16 isn't considered old.. why do I have to feel like it should be?

Well around 2:40something a.m., I will officially be 16. Yay! I think there is probably a pretty fair chance that I will forget about it myself, but that's okay, it wouldn't be the first time. I just need to let a few minutes set in, and then maybe I'll become sane again. Tomorrow is also the homecoming game, with a whopping high of 64 degrees and rainy, hellloooo cold. But hey, I get to spend the day with my best friends and Casey, how could I ask for a better birthday? And we actually have a chance to win, considering that we are playing St. Frances DeSales, who have the same 1-6 record as us. So let us cross our fingers and wish for the best, yes?

Let's see... what did I do today? I watched Travelogue in Chinese (shocker); took an hour and a half of notes in Psychology, while everyone continued to complain pointlessly; took a quiz in Pre-Cal that I feel pretty good about; and read half of a story in English. Yup, very eventful day. It was actually college apparel day, so we got to dress half out of uniform, woot woot.

Addi had her last game today against Wayne Trace, and her team won. They won the first set 26-24, and the second 25-11, so I'd say that they played fairly well. Then I came home and ate dinner, bathed Toby, and talked to my dad and aunt. My other aunt isn't doing so well, and neither is my grandma, so I guess a lot of things will begin to change over the course of the next year. I'm just trusting that God will make the best out of everything.

Yesterday and Tuesday were actually the more eventful days. Tuesday I had school, took the PSAT (soooo long, sooo hard), and then went home. I went to the fall choir concert and hung out with Austin, Alysia and Nick while I waited for Casey, Mike and Summer to be done singing. Afterwards we went to Happy Dayz and got ice cream.. which may have not been the smartest idea. Summer and Mike ended up getting the ice cream all over each other... and the floor... and the table... along with ketchup, it was just great. Then yesterday I got to have my champagne for my birthday, it was all great until I woke up with nightmares. But hey, at least they weren't reality.

So I'm waiting for Casey to be done watching Jersey Shore so I can call him for a few minutes and then go straight to sleep. I'm exhausted. But staying up is definitely worth it. Facebook no longer catches my interest, all of the post are ghetto, or nagging. So I choose to sit here and write this to no one but myself. Eh.

I guess I should find something productive to do.
Night.
